Focus on Policy
The work of the Institute supports the formulation and implementation of
health policies and programs that promote the health and well-being of children
and youth, especially those with special health care needs and informs
stakeholders about emerging policy and program initiatives. In keeping with this
goal, faculty disseminate research, policy and program information, and
interpret research to policy-makers and the public.
Specific faculty-initiated activities have included developing and providing
Web-based access to policy, program, and research-related materials; conference
presentations; instructional videos and other resources; facilitating networking
and collaboration among stakeholders; and advising program directors and policy
makers. Some of these materials are
